It all started with a simple need: a jacket that fit well, looked stylish, and came at an affordable price. Michelle, a passionate equestrian who has been competing, showing, and judging since the 1980s, struggled to find the perfect jacket for her daughter. So, she decided to create one herself. That first jacket—Navy pinstripe with red trim and white piping—known fondly as LP001, still hangs in the LP Designs showroom today as a testament to how it all began.

From a Simple Jacket to a Growing Brand

What started as making jackets for close friends quickly blossomed into something much bigger. LP Designs first made its mark at Equitana 2016 with a humble 3×3 booth, but that event set the stage for the brand’s growth. Today, LP Designs is stocked in over 40 stores and worn by equestrians across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.

From day one, Michelle has stayed true to her vision of creating affordable luxury. Each jacket and vest is custom-designed, made with exclusive fabrics, and hand-stitched with care. It’s not just about looking good—it’s about feeling confident and comfortable in the saddle.

Despite the brand’s growth, Michelle remains the heart and soul of LP Designs. She personally oversees every new piece, ensuring it meets her high standards. She still handles all showroom fittings, works closely with her small but dedicated team, and mentors stockists on providing the perfect custom fit for their customers.
